So true about Labour not being in back in power for a long time.

But lefty this lefty that yadda yadda yadda.....

The Tories have been in power for the last eleven years, not sure how long we have to give them for all these promised improvements to come to fruition, as opposed to the ****show presently going on, but as long as the billionaires are getting richer I am sure some gullible fools will be happy!

Yadda yadda indeed!

Provides a bit of balance to posters such as yourself who consistently post far right stuff.

Takes all sorts!

Yes, just reporting some facts Wilesy, some of these chaps are a little bamboozled that bunter is leading them a merry dance and are a tad bitter that we know they voted for him!, slightly embarrassed I imagine! Instead of bringing him to book, they just spout off somebody else who was never pm would have done worse! A bit like having to pay £20 a pint in a pub, and the landlord saying-" well, in the west end you would pay £30," and you saying, "fair enough, two pints please! "

It wouldn't have happened. Half of us would be dead from covid because labour would still be in the EU and our jabs would be far lower. Then many of the rich would have left to stop the snatch of their dosh and don't even imagine what tax rises would be coming to give to the workshy, feckless oxygen theives. Furlough would be means tested in favour of the above so I would say don't wish too hard as it might come true.

Labour wouldn"t have said "everybody go out and mix, go to the footy, go to Cheltenham, go down the pub", in week one, like boris did. Then, just a week later, "everybody stay in , don"t mix, dont visit relatives, including old dears"-like the EU had said a week earlier! Boris, instead of taking the second option, which was the right call, didn"t want to take any advice from the EU, so did the opposite and led us to the worst death toll in Europe, maybe the world by % of population. He made the biggest blunder through vanity, wanting to do the opposite of the 27 other countrys experts, and how we have paid for it! These CONS have made so so many cock ups during this pandemic, it"s easy to forget some, thats why im posting this. And the european union have overtaken us on jabs, and not the oxford one either, but the better Phiser one, that even we now opt for youngsters etc-less chance of clotting! Hard to imagine after all these cock ups that they get away with it, but they will, with people living in narnia, not facing facts, just comparing them to what iffery!

The Adam Smith Institute, another free market thinktank, said that Johnson’s speech was “vacuous and economically illiterate”, that it set out “an agenda for levelling down”, and that the PM’s policies were inflationary.

Bombastic, vacuous and 'economically illiterate' and that's from the right and business.

And yes, persistent posts linking any social or political problem to immigration is a view attributable to the far right.

Don't need to be popping much paracetamol to know that!

if you think responding to that is an example of riled the dictionary needs to be your next book. Start with ri...
Immigration is part of the problem. Not every immigrant puts in the pot that me and probably you are filling up monthly. Many are only taking. Ally a bit of fair play and the reason becomes clearer. Many indigenous workshy, feckless oxygen theives are also hopping the wag on being positive for GB. Sadly they are British so we are stuck with them. Why should immigrants who don't work or who aren't in fear of their lives be allowed in GB.
Possibly preventing some very brave Afghanis who helped the UK from coming here to safety. Think about that while you see boatloads of working age men rocking up claiming asylum. Some from safe countries. It isn't far right to question their motives, it is just plain sensible.

It's not utopia CP, it's what's best for me and mine.
Sorry that you feel you have to be there for everyone but do you think they give a s*** about you. If your houses were commandeered because it's wealth and families plotted up in them would they care. I doubt it matey. Socialism is OK until you run out of other people's money as the great MT said.

Cringeworthy jazz hands to distract and misdirect. Honestly some of this dross wouldn't be out of place in a Chris Morris/Brass Eye universe.

Should Jeremy Corbyn have won the election, he'd have likely to have spent a lot of his time simply trying to control Peirs Corbyn. One of the issues I have trying to imagine this Scenario is that their manifesto and campaign was such a mess, its inconceivable to think they wouldn't have been just as happless, if not more so.

What would have been happening is that they would have been trying to renegotiate the withdrawal agreement, withing a year as they claimed, whilst trying to run a second referendum. That would have been hell.

Whilst Labour have been trying to fix that mess, there's been no proper scrutiny of the government. Perhaps the government would have been less slopy, had they had any kind of opposition.

Nobodys talking about socialism mate, just let this bunch of thieves know we aint happy with them andhow they are ruining the country! Even a cabinet clear out with someone in charge who dont lie and break rules every day would be a plus, maybe the chancellor? This is the worst bunch of freeloaders in gov I can remember, the country is falling apart, lucky its not mid summerwith a heat wave because I think the whole place could go up!

Yeah, the manifesto and stuff was a mess, and the tory press hounded him for years, trying to dig up dirt, but didn"t succeed, if they spent as much time looking at the cabinet they could have a field day! Not saying he would have been any good at the job, but couldn"t be any worse than bungle!

The press always try and dig up dirt on everyone, most of the time they barely need to dig. Corbyn had a few pretty unfortunate associations. However, digging up dirt on Corbyn wasn't the reason he was hammered at the GE. It was mostly because the manifesto was awful. They've also dug up loads of dirt of the Tories, but people don't care if you are perceived to be doing a good job.

After a while, everyone recognises that governments have had to make dodge deals from time to time. In the case of track and trace the options were to pay up now or wait even long for a system to be set up. Not an ideal choice for policy makers. It's difficult to argue another party wouldn't have done the same, which is why criticising the decision isn't a vote winner.

What does seem to win elections is positive slogans and manifestos that make people optimistic.

New Labour, New Britian
Big Society, Small Government
Yes We Can,
Make America Great Again,
Build Back Better.

If you want Labour to win an election, best to promote their claims of how they will do things better than the Tories.
