That's a no then!

I said what I meant. It depends on what is involved. I am sure some of them honestly believed that Brexit was in our best interests, although I bet a few of them are having second thoughts now, even if they don't express them. With such people I can have a meaningful exchange of views.

It's those who backed Brexit for either personal gain, political advancement or to avoid losing their seat that I have no time for and even less respect.

As there is no conflict in being both British and anti EU, except in your mind..

When I saw you had posted, I just knew it would be a pop at me. You are nothing if not predictable.

However, I agree that it is possible to be both British and anti-EU, even though I believe that to be misguided, short-sighted and regressive. Not everyone can see beyond the end of their prejudice.

The whole world's a stage and the people are the players.
Some good actors out there wissie. Thus your opinion of certain politicians could be on a false belief. Maybe stick with hating all of the brexit voters, just to be sure eh !

Land of dope and tory! (Nothing personal ghost-just had to throw it in!)

I think that one is done to death mate. Cash jobs were always OK though wernt they ?

Exactly the same for you wissie, predictable and trying to prove how superior you consider yourself to be......you keep posting 'superior shyte and Ill keep replying to it"

Also how do you explain the EU, Macron in particular, treating the UK like s***e, yet you still fawn over them like they are your very best friends?

Maybe you could enlarge on why you think the EU treats the UK so badly - especially Macron?

Frankly, such a perspective is lost on me. Going back on/ignoring international treaties that Johnson and Frost both negotiated and championed as outstanding, giving a nod to militants in NI to stir up trouble, creating quite unnecessary tensions with France over fishing and then, of course, the debacle in the Channel.

Of course, its politically expedient to keep a running battle with the EU. Johnson got elected on just that basis and indeed his whole conversion to the Leave cause was associated with political opportunism. He was never known previously, despite his years in Brussels as an inaccurate journalist, to have expressed any strong views on the matter.

That's the nature of the British PM and his henchman Frost that the EU are dealing with. Untrustworthy, not serious and quite willing in their own interests to keep the issue running and running. All the while, of course, the true costs of this whole scenario are starting to play out for UK citizens to witness and pay for.

Why on earth do you think I hate all the Brexit voters?

Far from it. I feel desperately sorry for many of them who fell for the tried and tested con routine of jam tomorrow and green grass in the next field. I hate con men and chancers who are prepared to risk their country's future to salve personal ambition. We need leaders who are statesmen, with the capacity to accept the need to do the unpopular, whatever the risk to themselves or their party, if it is in our interests.

If you believe I am superior to you, who am I to argue? I have no interest in such ideas. Nor, for that matter, in any of yours, which seem facile at best.

I don't fawn over anyone, or anything. I respect some, and disrespect others. I see many faults in the way the EU operates, but on balance believe we need to be a member who tries to steer its direction from the inside. Indeed, we never took an active enough role in this regard. We needed to be much more fully committed in the past, rather than always chirping on the sidelines.

You are very disingenuous if you think every one in authority who voted brexit should now admit its a mistake and say sorry.
Is that really what you are saying as you could be just as wrong in their opinion. They clearly think and beleive brexit is in our interest and many are a lot more learned than you I would guess.

Some also do not necessarily think it is in our interests but really couldn't care less but have other nefarious reasons.

I don't though think that! Some are still deluded enough to sincerely believe it will all work out well.

As to being more "learned" than me, whilst they may well be more expensively educated that is, I regret to say, no guarantee that wisdom is the consequence.

It's sad to think that you will spend your twilight years whining on about lost causes.
You want to worship Europe like some victim of Stockholm Syndrome because they are being nasty to us?

You are the kind of person who would have trusted Hitler.
