He meant envy instead of jealousy as well...it's a common mistake.

Like communism, if seismically less damaging.

yep…most successful racing driver ever to live…will probably have every record going before he retires.

he tries to use his platform to help causes close to his heart…cant moan to much about that really.

His t***ishness totally takes from his racing performances.

I recall Hamilton bleating about a racing penalty he got many years ago, citing it "was only given because I'm a black driver"

(Kind of forgetting his mum is white)

Bernie Ecclestone was running F1 at the time, and the immediate radio silence in the weeks after that statement, suggested to me that Bernie tore Hamilton a new one over that statement.

or the "Nico's hit me" radio call to his team when he collided with his team-mate Rosberg. He can dish it out, but he certainly can't take it.

All these exceptionally talented people come across as self-righteous fonts of endless wisdom. When he retires, maybe he can go and live next door to Harry and Meghan on their eco-friendly island with heliport and runway and they can drive around in their 4x4's to their hearts content, collecting berries and nettles to eat.

Sure. Just like Nigel Farage.

Funny how, when you reply to a post, 'Stirling Says' does the same.

I don't get his complaint about not enough black people in F1. It is an elitist sport like polo you can only succeed if you have money or sponsors.

This eliminates most people including non whites it's not like cricket or football where a kid from a poor background with a talent can make it.

Lewis is a talent but he is very lucky to get the breaks he did.

Until F1 downsizes to Ford Escort racing it will only ever be available to a small elite.

'it's not like cricket or football where a kid from a poor background with a talent can make it.'

That's ridiculous as that is exactly what Lewis Hamilton has achieved.

I already said he has a talent. How did he make it? His father sponsored him and probably gave up everything to help his son. How many parents could afford to do that?

If you are a kid with a talent for football they pay you under or over the counter.

They can but he is simply the best in the world, it will have to be when he is gone, imo, F1 drivers can come from any background.

Lewis was discovered in Karting, as was Vettel.
