That really is in poor taste. Get a grip or at least show some respect. This forum deserves better.

even though he scores the occassional goal he misses so many
we should have win this one 5-1 if only he could work out where the goal is !

Absolute joke. He was everywhere today. The one on the deck he should score, granted. The headers, he’s one of the only forwards that even gets to them for a start. Two cracking headed goals, amazing link up play.

A joke comment.

Don't understand the criticism of Benteke. He had a good game. 1 goal, one hit the cross bar, one the upright, might have scored a stunner were it not for the foul by Guehi. Plus great link up play and defence work.....

You’ll get used to it on here. People grab onto anything to suit their agenda.

There’s much to admire in our play, but can anybody seriously see us keeping too many clean sheets?
The amount of draws this season is not down just to bad luck, although it’s played a part.
If we can’t keep clean sheets we’ll need to score at least two goals to win games.
Ideally press the home the advantage which our play warrants and get two goals ahead.
I thought Benteke played quite well today but, aside from the missed chances, he partially negates the effectiveness of Edouard (possibly our most natural finisher) by displacing him in the central role.
We’ve dominated for long spells v Brighton, Arsenal and today but have 3 points to show for it.
In the cold light of day we should be aiming for 6 points from these fixtures.

Say what you want but goals win games.
We may be good to watch but 3 shots on target against a poor side is unacceptable.
We only have 8 points and will likely get nothing against City next weekend.
Another set piece goal against as well - very poor.
Lovely to watch but points make prizes!
We need to watch out!

We also have 2 points less than I expected us to have at this stage of the season looking at the fixtures.

More gutted after that than any other game this season.

They were there for the taking, and whilst we went at our best we did enough to have won it.

Although he looked pretty dangerous, (I think) literally all our chances fell to Benteke. Not sure if its wasteful finishing of if he did well, most likely the latter.

I still don’t think Benteke works for us in this new system, just doesn’t move enough. But potentially another debate.

One thing that will be interesting to get thoughts on is Olise vs Ayew. Olise looked great in the 2nd half when we had our tails up, but didn’t do much in the first half. Potentially instructions given to him, but he didn’t move from the line and didn’t really get involved too much.

In recent games Ayew has been pretty involved in the press and holding the ball. Maybe he is more important that ppl give him credit for.

We’ve had the hardest start on place position than anyone else in the League - fact..!!

There were posters on here at the start of the season given that start saying/predicting we would be in the bottom 3 come the end of October - we are not..!!

On top of that we are playing our best and most attractive and watchable football in our 8 consecutive years and counting in the Prem..!!

Look this is a new side, new Manager, new tactics ra, ra, ra..!! Was always going to take a while to bed in - from my point of view they have already exceeded my expectations and the best is yet to come - and will only get better..!!

Yes there’s been some disappointing results - but they were in games where we have been much the better team and as I said this an evolving team and will only get better..!!

As for Roy getting more points by this stage given our start - you’ve got to be kidding me..!!

If there’s one thing on here that gives me the ache - it’s this constant reference to nostalgia through rose coloured glasses - and this is a prime example of it..!!

IMO - If Roy was in charge we would be in the bottom 3 whilst also playing cr@p football and staring at a season of the same cr@p football whilst praying for survival..!!

Whereas now I look at it as we are moving in the right direction, don’t fear anyone and looking forward to the best out of this team - which is yet to come..!!

I agree with a lot of this, apart from ‘’ IMO - If Roy was in charge we would be in the bottom 3 whilst also playing cr@p football and staring at a season of the same cr@p football whilst praying for survival..!!’’ I’m not a Roy fan, but I think your opinion on points isn’t true. Because we’ve been very close to cracking it and PV has made great progress, some fans are frustrated, when really we should be relieved it’s going in the right direction but keep backing everything in the belief we’ll be on the right side of the current fine margins.

Suspect this is a poor attempt of a tongue in cheek remark from an ardent “Roy can do no wrong” supporter..!!
