Imagine saying that the way Saville was handled by those who knew he was abusing children was understandable. I don't see any real difference here.

The Police knew what was happening and turned a blind eye and that is criminal action that we are yet to receive justice for.

Because those implicated are the political and managerial classes themselves.

What happened and is happening is the very definition of ignoring the vulnerable for the preferred minority group.

There is little direct correlation between Saville and these cases, other than that both are disgusting and involve child abuse. Saville was a predator during a different age, when his celebratory status enable him to con people.

It was known that the abuse of children, and vulnerable young people, was happening but not the scale. This wasn't "ignored" though, despite the claims made here and elsewhere. There was a strategy and a plan to eradicate it involving social workers, the police and education.

Let me make it quite clear. I am neither defending that as wise, nor condemning it as unwise. It was just the policy at the time taken by those whose responsibility it was. Which wasn't any of us here. Hindsight is always wonderful, but it never ceases to amaze me how many people will tell you that's always been their opinion. They always knew better than those whose job it actually was. Life is so easy when you don't actually have any responsibility!

For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally.

To be fair I have never ever, even from the most vomit inducing left wing apologist for grooming gangs, seen the excuse peddled that actually these numerous nonce's were being investigated but just very, very, very, very quietly and if it were not for newspapers like 'The Times' or ruffians such as Tommy Robinson (whose real name is Stephen Christopher Yaxley-Lennon just in case it has never been mentioned before) then it might have all be handled in a more seemly and, dare I say it, sensitive manner that might have helped us maintain community relations for the betterment of all?

Kudos for being willing to express that almost stratospheric level of utter bulls*** because that does take a special kind of sauce.

But in terms of trying to react to it? Or engage in anything other than utter derision and contempt? The man is either deranged or an uber troll. No other rational explanation.
