None of which explains why victims were ignored.

They weren't "ignored". The situation was handled in a way you now disapprove of.

If it had worked everyone would be happy and this thread would not exist.

Why do you bother even entertaining this idiot?

To be fair I have never ever, even from the most vomit inducing left wing apologist for grooming gangs, seen the excuse peddled that actually these numerous nonce's were being investigated but just very, very, very, very quietly and if it were not for newspapers like 'The Times' or ruffians such as Tommy Robinson (whose real name is Stephen Christopher Yaxley-Lennon just in case it has never been mentioned before) then it might have all be handled in a more seemly and, dare I say it, sensitive manner that might have helped us maintain community relations for the betterment of all?

Kudos for being willing to express that almost stratospheric level of utter bulls*** because that does take a special kind of sauce.

But in terms of trying to react to it? Or engage in anything other than utter derision and contempt? The man is either deranged or an uber troll. No other rational explanation.

Why on earth do you, or anyone else, think I am apologising for grooming gangs beats me. As I have made it abundantly clear on numerous occasions, I think such people are the scum of the earth and deserve to be traced and punished to the full extent of the law.

All I have ever done in this thread is point out the error, and danger, of pointing the finger at ALL Muslims, and not at the criminals who happen to come from a background which holds that faith. Then comes the oft repeated assertion that the crimes were "ignored" when that is simply untrue. The authorities attempted to manage a potentially explosive situation in a way which they regarded as producing the least worse outcome.

That others disagree with this approach doesn't mean it didn't exist. That is ALL I am saying. I am not even defending it. I have not expressed an opinion on it.

The level of abuse and ad hominems that flow from these gross misrepresentations are a shameful reminder of how often people only see what they want to see. Prejudice reigns supreme here.

That link was blocked by my virus checker, but the headline is enough.

As I said before, the Police have run a PR exercise to take the blame and the flak. I know that many officers were uncomfortable with the strategy, and I guess this is a way to blame the retired senior officers, and deposed politicians, so the slate can be wiped clean and a new start made. I am speculating on this though. I have great sympathy for the police and social workers who were both grossly under-resourced and working to guidelines given to them by politicians. Politicians who doubtless thought they were doing the right thing.

I told you very directly, it was before I moved here and as I am 77 even you must be capable of working out that means I couldn't be Chief Constable of anywhere.

Trust me, I don't want to know you personally, but the character you have repeatedly demonstrated on here is more than enough to form an opinion.

There is no doubt that these kinds of events bring out the worst side of Right wing politics, and it is perfectly reasonable to discourage any form of extremism.
Unfortunately, when you read between the lines and hear the language used, it becomes clear that, for some people, including politicians, this has become more important than actually protecting British citizens from harm. The far Left lunatics can just be ignored, of course, but politicians who go out of their way not to offend minorities for their own ends need to be held responsible in a very real way. It's only now after twenty years that the staggering scale of this crime is being talked about in the mainstream, and it's all too little too late. Even now, you still hear language that seems more concerned with not tarnishing the wider pakistani 'community' than the plight of victims across multiple towns. It's playing politics pure and simple, with White victims being of secondary importance.
You only have to read the apologist crap posted on here to see that everyone wants to avoid the issue of Muslim culture and concentrate on deflecting blame and shout about racism.

This stuff is still going on, and sadly our democratic system is making it easy to get away with for far too many. Those that have been convicted are the tip of the iceberg, and it is time that the causes were called out for what they are. I would urge anyone living in those areas to demand action and punishment for those who deliberately avoided taking action. Pathetic little enquiries are not good enough. There needs to be serious consequences for all those responsible.
As for offending pakistanis. We are told that there is no such thing as real community among minorities, just as there isn't among Whites. Everyone is responsible as an individual if they encourage, ignore or protect criminals.
People need to realize that their ethnicity will not protect them from individual responsibility, and politicians need to do what they are paid for rather than perpetually worrying about votes and political correctness.
The media are equally responsible for selective reporting and pandering to sponsorship.
You wonder what is going on right now that is being covered up.

As an example. Right now in Maidstone, the town is being over run by 'travellers' who are gathering for a week long funeral. They have been damaging cars, threatening people in the street and terrorizing staff in pubs and restaurants and yet not a word in the local or national press.

Why do honest tax paying citizens have to put up with this?

There was a time that people would solve the problem of anti social behaviour in their own way. These days, you'd get done for doing anything.

Oh come on, a police watchdog and former police officers are not giving their opinions, they have facts. Just like your informant

It would appear that a fair few on here have formed an opinion about you wissie......I just find it quite funny that you like to make out that you are so superior to everyone else, yet you know none of the background of anyone on here.

Even you with your superior brain power must have realised that the comment was a joke, as you were making out that you had inside information about what the Police do or dont do.......not arresting loads of 'asian rape gang members' (to use your words)
Anyway enough of this crap, you arent gonna change, so I will just ignore you for a fortnight while I fly off to Dubai.....Bye wissie, enjoy Cornwall

I am perfectly content that this "fair few" have formed their opinion. Indeed, I would be disappointed if they had not and very ashamed if I held opinions they approved of. It’s obvious that this is a place to which a number of the hard right have gravitated, and is very untypical of mainstream opinion.

I have plenty enough approval from those I respect to assure me I am on the right track.

I don't believe I am "superior" to anyone. I just think this "few" are misguided. For they are indeed few. Well done. You got something right, which shows it can be done, given enough time.

Enjoy Dubai. May you return a better man.
