Nobody is forced to wear a poppy. Some, Jim Davidson for instance, does not wear a poppy because of issues he has with the British Legion, yet he does a great deal for other armed services charities.

Supporting BLM is a political statement, wearing a poppy is not.

Taking the knee is not political, the players taking a knee have said that they are doing it to highlight racism in society. The origin of the action was outside of politics. If you want to consider it political then you must concede that all actions are in some way political and that therefore wearing a poppy is political.

All political parties other than the extremists oppose racism.

Tell that to James Mclean who gets dogs abuse every year for not wearing one.

It's been explained so many times that the gesture is not in support of BLM.

When they started doing it here they were literally wearing the BLM logo.

Rubbish.

Poppies represent the remembrance of dead soldiers. They serve no other purpose except perhaps to remind us of the cost of war.

You are trying to be 'right' while knowing full well that what you claim is nonsense.

In nearly every part of society, the UK governments own data clearly demonstrates the inequality present in our society.

Except that the goal posts get shifted every time it comes under scrutiny.

What exactly is taking the knee meant to achieve again? I'm still unsure.

And before that it was done by Colin Kaepernick with no affiliation to any political organisation, and was chosen as a particularly inoffensive way of making his point.

And since then, specific to English football it's been explained hundreds of time that they are not supporting the political organisation - we've hit a point where people can witness a protest, ask the protestors what they're protesting about, and when they answer, we tell them they're wrong and they're actually protesting something different.

If you're that unsure you could consider listening to the people partaking in the protest, that's normally a good starting point in trying to understand their cause.

Luckily in this case there's tens of published interviews you could check out, although I've no doubt you'd still conclude you know better than them what they are protesting.

Equality of outcome is different to equality of opportunity.
You are fully aware of that.

What the government is concerned with is fully utilizing immigrant labour in all sectors by trying to counter the disadvantage they have simply by being a minority. People look after their own, and no one does that more than immigrants.

I have, and they talk in riddles. There is no substance. All I hear is the parroting of meaningless platitudes.

What has it achieved so far? I'm keen to know.

The idea that you assess the validity of a protest based on what it achieved is silly.

Of course it is political. It is one of the most discussed political issues of the last year or two.
