Half stories in what way? if any of what was in the book regarding others was not true these people would of taken action against it. His problems was no experience and believed he could change the corrupt system by calling the people out which was his downfall in the end (If he was to get back into some involvement you would expect he has learn a lot so now would be in a much better place) He is still a Palace fan and if SP etc sold up I expect you would see him return so I understand his stance on the matter they did screw him over to gt the club for free (Some will say that is business yes but these are suppose to be fans saving a club)

Saved the club, was right in most of what he said but tried taking on football and was never going to win, it he played the game we might have got cahill and he might still be in charge now. He was his own downfall

I don't wish him ill but ultimately he failed as an owner where as our current owners seem to be avoiding the mistakes he made.

He was his own downfall Cahill’s agent used us for the Cahill to Everton deal. Or did Jordan’s mate Theo Paphitis use us? I did think signing Dean Ashton towards the end of the season would’ve saved us but I think his manage at Crewe, Dario Gradi, advised him to go to Norwich. They were always goi g to be relegated, and were, with us to on the last day of the season.

As a pundit, he's outstanding. His views on football generally are on the money more often than not and he says a lot of stuff that needs saying but no one in the game will say it. As a businessman, complete shyster but shrewd enough to sell his company at the top of the market, though I suspect that involved a large measure of luck as much as judgment. As a Palace owner, other than saving us I really couldn't stand him. But that's just me. I don't warm to flamboyance and egomania. Others do, and fair enough. With regards to having his pocket picked by Parish, Jordan's last year running the club was an exercise in naivety and underlined my second point (about his wealth generally owing as much to luck as judgment). The road he went down with structured finance and loans was only ever going to end one way. What Parish did to Jordan is what any competent businessman does to an incompetent one. Jordan's witless financial decision-making led to him being the architect of his own downfall. I will say this. The game is better off with Jordan's voice being heard, at least somewhere, than not being heard at all.

I completely agree about his lack of judgement on a whole range of issues; amongst those, and pretty much the first thing he did was to get rid of Steve Coppell and also, on the playing side, recruit Neil Ruddock - a completely disaster and I would guess a very expensive mistake. Subsequently, his hiring of various managers like Trevor Francis was poor as well.

Heard the rumours he was never comming to us anyway, even if true he still upset the agents, didn't he or one of the big agents at the time just refuse to work with palace ? Right in what he says about them but it is what it is, only people who lost out was us as a club.

Have a lot of time for SJ on Talk sport he makes a lot of sense and is good listening. When he bought into Palace he was passionate but got taken for a ride and got stuffed big time by Big Ron. He is part of our history put his money where his mouth was and paid the price . he still deserves respect even if you think he got it wrong. No

Anybody prepared to lose £32M of an approx £38M fortune on Palace gets my respect. Also, I think SJ sees in SP a slightly more successful & shrewd mirror image of himself - hence the dislike (as well as being tucked up for 1p in the £1 on the £32M debt of course).
