That last sentence. Christ.

It is a statement that many will treat as fact.
It's not written for you to make it wrong though.
Maybe you don't have to worry about money danh and lucky you but many many people live week to week and month to month.
Tell them that an MPs misdemeanor should take up their thoughts rather than the dinner and foxtrot oscar will be the reply. Your come back will be along the lines if " well with this hmg I'm not surprised, what with the PPE scandal and dodgy mps etc etc etc". Prior to that I think consideration to former governments and a lack of money in people's pockets should be thought about.
I recommend a little philanthropy danh.

This government and previous conservative governments haven’t even helped that number on the bottom right of your payslip increase much though! Wages have been pretty much stagnant for a decade and we’re now seeing increasing inflation which means that number at the bottom right hand of your payslip doesn’t buy you as much as it used to.

The conservatives looking after your financial interests are a myth. They only care about their own.

Infantile? You're the one throwing your toys out of the pram apparently outraged by corruption.... .You do realise that you're an accountant.

An even more utterly ridiculous statement.

Your profession literally survives on finding ways for individuals and companies to pay the least amount of tax possible....which they wouldn't be able to do without having the money to pay.

And if you are correct they will be voted out at the next election. If not then clearly more people don't care about what's happened and are concentrating on their own lives.
Whatever has or hasn't happened atm and going forward I would guess won't impact many. Morals end at the bottom right hand corner of a payslip I'm afraid.

Exactly.

I voted for Boris as the only option on the table to get Brexit done. However like every other voter I reserve the right to change my mind at the next election if I feel that they haven't delivered on their promises.

I said this often before we had left taking back control means that HMG are in the dock as far as the voters are concerned. There is no hiding place for the government if they fail they can't blame the EU anymore.

Right now this government is not doing great in a number of key areas however I have yet to see a viable alternative which is a pity.

They haven't been a working class party since John Smith died.

Vote passed. Utterly shameless corruption.

You should work in the media. I'm sure they can find room for yet another socialist/liberal cliché.

I find it nuts that they are. I would be in favour of MPs salaries being doubled and them being forced to give up any other paid roles while an MP.

Owen Paterson received more from his employers than his MP salary. No wonder his priorities were skewed.

I disagree with DanH on a lot politically but fully agree with this. Double their pay with the caveat that, that's it. No lobbying work no second jobs where you are in effect working 2 or 3 days a week as a part time consultant for British Airways or a huge multi national construction company.
On a personal note so that these s***bags truly don't get their noses in the trough I'd also like to see their seats become limited to know more than two terms of parliament.
