Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

yes, there is a very broad spectrum of opinions from the BBC....

also...feminist, BLM, islamic, Hindu,

but they still insist on calling Derry 'Londonderry'. Cos they might be multiculturalists but they aint stupid enough to forget who their British Paymasters at Westminster are.

You obviously either know every BBC employee personally or have access to their recruitment team, who you seem to think enquire into a person's political beliefs before offering them a contract.

I have only ever known two BBC employees personally. One is now retired, but rose from being a junior clerk to being a producer, and another who left to form his own production company which makes programmes, both for the BBC and others. I rarely discussed politics with either, but neither is in any way left wing at all. I would describe both as centre right.

What I think you, and the other BBC critics, are doing is allowing your own biases to overpower the facts. You are seeing what you want to see.

For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally.

Yes, but you probably consider Trotsky as being centre right.

Oh, for goodness sake loosen up a bit. You take some of these posts - and yourself - far too seriously.

BBC senior people have a wide range of views from extreme left to middling left of centre. The BBC needs a thorough shake up, public broadcasting for basics and made to be commercially viable for the rest.

Whilst it's impractical to try to examine the probable political views of all the BBC "senior people", let's look at three.

Would someone who has had a forty-year career in finance working with a number of financial institutions and most notably worked at JP Morgan and was for 23 years a partner at Goldman Sachs, more likely to hold left or right-wing views? I would say definitely not left, and more probably right centre.

Who is this? The Chairman, Richard Sharp. As senior as you can get.

What about someone who, prior to joining the BBC, was Vice President of Marketing and Franchise at PepsiCo Europe and before that worked for Procter and Gamble? This is Tim Davie, the Director-General. Effectively the CEO.

What about someone who graduated with a first in Economics and Accounting from the University of Bristol and is a qualified Chartered Accountant? Who has spent all their career at senior levels in the finance and insurance industries? This is Shirley Garrood a non-exec Director.

They all sound like raving Marxists to me.

Balamory. A kids programme set in a small Scottish Fishing village. With a demographic that looks ( and sounds) like a street of West Croydon.

and with kids characters that lead to speculation as to whether they were LGBT

Oh not this again. For the umpteenth time - including at least once on this thread - this is a statutory requirement.

Blame parliament who imposed this inclusivity crap.

Tory intrusion ‘chilling’ independence of national bodies, critics claim'

Tories trying to fix the media hoping it will not be noticed, like the rest of their sleaze and corruption.

If a candidate, like Dacre, is not found suitable, they will try and re-start the process all over again.

How many and which status of people will actually care?
I've said before people worry about themselves and this does absolutely nothing to negate their lives. Move on.

Don't be silly. I loath the extreme left every bit as much as the extreme right.

There are those here, who most would regard as holding some pretty hard right views, who openly claim that anyone holding a political opinion that is even a tad more socially "liberal" than their own is a raving "lefty", and they are just conservatives.

It's not my understanding of what true conservatism is.
