Good lord, the bloke has only just taken over the job and there's talk of who is to be his replacement. Get a grip...

Yes, let's just enjoy the season. I can only worry about so many things simultaneously!

He'll do 2 years with us and then take over at Citeh when Pep retires. He'll be sought out by Arsenal at some point in between but will turn them down. Osian Roberts takes the reins when he goes.

Anything else you want to know, drop us a line. Happy to help.

Will we win the champions league with Patrick?

Vieira will be definitely here for the season if not several. He'll want to cement valuable managerial experience in The Premiership and has time on his side to eventually jump to the likes of Arsenal or City. What's positive and means so much is the feeling that the Manager; Board; Players and Fans are seemingly enjoying Palace football in a style that the majority of us have been deprived of for years. Still learning though.

For God's sake NO !

He has shown to be a younger version of Roy Hodgson by his negative tactics in the Euro final, and he did not succeed at Middlesbrough.

Onwards and upwards- not back to the dark ages.

With all the talk about replacing Gallagher, my major concern is if PV continues his outstanding transformation the big boys will come along and start waving their wallets at him 2 and a half years left on his contract, Derry seems to be getting involved more during matches, maybe he can be learn from PV for the future if the unthinkable happens

Derry will never be manager here. All this odd talk about what to do if Vieira leaves. The bloke has only just got here, whilst he has had a great start, nobody has seen how he copes when things don’t go to plan, ie a run of defeats.
Injuries will come along to key members of the team, it’s how he copes will be interesting. Just look at Dean Smith, Eddie Howe etc all lauded as good managers, then a run of poor form and they get sacked.

Slightest hint of us stringing some results together and you are fretting that the managers off.

Let's enjoy the ride and when we lose 3 in a row all change our tune and start demanding changes!

The man's name is VIEIRA. Is that so difficult to spell? Think of 'Vie', as in the French for life, followed by the initials of an organization not always committed to the preservation of it.

I am now really worried that after Viera we will appoint a new manager who might be quite good and leave us for a bigger club. He will then be replaced by someone else who also does well and again leaves us. What will we do then????

Oh and on my way home this evening I met Chicken Licken who has reliably informed me the sky is falling in.

I have no issues speculating on such things.

We have a storied history of losing managers just when things feel exactly as they feel right now.

I could see Leicester considering him if they don't improve quickly, but I'm not sure they'd be enough of a draw to abandon what he has here. Maybe though.

Funnily enough, the way Brendan Rogers sets teams up, and his record of doing well amd then fading, I wouldn't say no to him for a couple of years.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

Have we? The only one I can think of was when Bruce was poached when we hadade a great start to the season.

We have usually appointed firefighters to save us who have moved on when the generous terms and budgets offered to keep us in the top division were not extended. We usually sack managers.
