Well I hope we can sneak the Selhurst expansion through before the whole place implodes.

Or at least win something. It would hardly surprise me if we were top of the league, a few matches to go, and nuclear war broke out. Typical Palace.

More chance of one lifting that paper cup on the pavement than the FA Cup.

In all seriousness this isn’t a reason to have millions coming in non stop. There’s a difference between truly desperate people and just coming because their country isn’t very good and they’ve given up with it.

Untrue. It's not the number of people alone which has resulted in the warming. It's how they live. If only the west had industrialised and the rest of the world had continued unchanged, then not nearly so much effect would have been felt.

China is but one example. Pretty much everywhere wants what we have. We went out and told them how great it was, so we could sell them things and take their raw materials, especially their oil. Hindsight I know, but we were, along with the other colonisers, the architects of global warming.

You are contradicting yourself in one post. That is what happens when you argue for the sake of it.

The reports on the situation at the Belarus, Poland border makes disturbing reading.

This seems to me much less of a migrant crisis as a deliberate attack by Putin, via his surrogate Lukashenko, to use illegal migrants as a weapon to disrupt the EU. The "migrants" are being flown in on tourist visas with the promise of a soft entry into the EU.

This then is an undercover political attack, which could easily spill over into a military one.

Putin is undoubtedly very clever. His attacks on the west's elections paid dividends. Now he has found another weak spot.

It is going to be a very difficult to solve without bloodshed and is another part of the new Cold War that Putin is waging against us.

I won't bother to explain why any contradiction exists only in your mind. I'll see if you can work that out for yourself.

Not if you concede these people are the ultimate Brexiteers. They not only reject Europe but are willing to risk their life to leave it.

I somehow doubt whether Brexit is anywhere on their agenda, let alone at the top of it!

I wonder if climate change meant that the UK would submerge under water then posters on here would expect other countries to take us in or whether they would accept them closing their borders to us and leave us to our watery graves.
