I was watching Sky Sports, first thing was about racism, next about gender equality. I then wondered when we had voted to become communists. I didn't realise we had promised equality for everyone in every field, or even if that is something that is possible to achieve.

Not exactly the correct thread but I didn't want to start a new one. Labour MP brings baby into house of commons and is told to leave. First off the rules are set by the HOC and not by the government. Personally I think it is stupid to bring in someone who is going to spend the time crying and wailing and talking rubbish, but enough about the MPs what about the baby. Sister Creasy do the rest of us a favour a child is not appropriate in a workplace because they can't be controlled. Why not campaign for a crèche instead.

However Dan you are clearly a far more patient man that I so whilst it would bother me to have a crying baby next to me whilst I tried to work I guess it wouldn't disturb you. I think the rules of the HOC are outdated I don't see why she can't work from and vote from home as she has a valid reason, the same with MPs who are seriously ill. So she might want to campaign for that after all MPs make their own rules.
