If you look at the title of this thread on the Palace Talk board, you will see that there is a red drawing pin to the left of the title.

Pinning means I went over to Hol Towers (where the mods live) and got the pin and stuck it in the board so the post can't slip down and get lost in the rest of the posts on there.

With all of these types of "schemes" I have 2 rules -
a) Don't invest in something that you don't fully understand.
b) Only play with money that you can afford to lose.

The club has made a few missteps over the years but this is right up there. Quite how the owners think they can encourage the purchase of crypto currency on the basis of enhanced engagemnent is beyond me. Shame

Just come out and plain ask us for money for the new stand.

I’m not a crypto guy, but as I understand it, this looks to prey on naive fans who think that buying Socio’s gives them a say in the running of the club whilst having the opportunity to benefit financially if the club succeed. The reality is you get a minuscule vote on the design of the team bus and the value of your investment is actually influenced by Socio’s as they can manipulate the market, to their advantage, with their +30% ownership of the currency - as per the case with Messi signing for PSG and Atletico winning La Liga. Furthermore, as not regulated, the is no recourse when your investment inevitably fails.

It’s this sort of crap that makes my job (as an IFA) difficult as people are so distrusting of investing in general.

This is going to cause a stink.

Whilst I was working overseas (this was maybe about 10 years ago) there was a sudden rush of adverts on the radio from one of the major credit card companies - they had launched a new product -
The Manchester United Credit card - it was of course exactly the same as their usual credit card offering, except it had Man Utd name & logo written on it (alongside theirs)as far as I could see there were no preferential terms or other benefits- just using the name.
