BREASCBL or SCRABBLE

We used to play a lot over Christmas , when we were allowed guests.
One memorable occasion, 4 family members were drinking Jack Daniels and had just completed their second game. Probably two thirds of the bottle was gone.
The third game commenced and I started the game with the 7-letter belter,.."ADVENTS"
It kicked-off bigtime over whether that was allowed. Arguments, such as "you can't pluralise Advent, and anyway, it starts with a Capital letter"
The game ended in a huge row, and everyone went to bed. The next day a "Scrabble list of words" book was purchased. It just lists words in alphabetical order which are allowed to be used.
And in there,..was ADVENTS. But it was never mentioned again. And we haven't played scrabble with Jack Daniels again

I had a hilarious time using shoerest (which I did for a joke), I followed up with poorest, and my missus, and her sister said there is no such thing as a rest for poo. They didn't get it for ages, with my son and I trying to look serious.

We played Rapidough this year. Basically pictionary with play dough. It was decent for kids and adults. I won, of course.
