The 10 battled well, was an even game up until the 5 mins of madness. It was obviously game over after the red and I was expecting a absolute rout from there. Mitchell was our stand out performer, was worried about him at the start of the season but he’s developing into a quality player, getting better every week.

Wilf needs a few weeks on the bench and should be made to earn his place back in the team.

As to the game what a waste. 10 crazy minutes spoiled the whole thing.

But in those days it was because they had been on the lash for the previous 2 says, what is our excuse today?

The defence had a poor game. For example why was Tomkins on the half way line leaving a big hole in the centre for Kane to run into to score. Wilf did court the sending off decision in the first half and it is about time he curbed this type of behaviour. Edouard is still a bit off the pace and still needs to prove that he is not another poor signing of a centre forward.

Yes, I reckon that was closer to off side than not, when the ball was played.

it was always a very big ask to visit the best stadium in the country, us with a Covid black-eye.

had we got a draw, it would have been fantastic.

now, onward to Thump Norwich. To guarantee they finish the season miles below us.

the 'Net-We-had' at the Etihad....again

Totally agree. He was sloppy and not at the races for the first half hour and I think it would do him good to realise lthat we do have other options when he’s not performing.

Also think Marc G should get the nod over Andersen (actually think a back 3 or him Tonka and Andersen would have done better today).

But as has often been the case this season - masters of our own downfall today, Ward constantly getting drawn out of position and found out for pace is becoming an unwelcome theme in recent defeats.

On to Norwich.

I thought so in real time and I did see a replay. Which 100% confirmed it. I thought he had a foot ahead of the defender as the ball was played across.

I wonder how much that will be analysed later though? I think that was a VAR error as well as a line error.

The bbc/final score all said Son was well off side, not seen it yet properly.

Shame lines were not shown. More offside than many disallowed goals

Regarding Wilf, I am his biggest critic regarding his petulance but that first yellow card was never a booking. Skip did similar within minutes without a card. The 2nd I can see why he was booked but Sanchez holding his face was pathetic
. Perhaps PL need to start looking at the play acting
