Bentenke is settled where he is and has several business interests in London and Belgium. He'll sit tight until his contract runs out in 2023 and then likely move to Belgium before retirement. There's no big incentive for him to leave and I can't see any other PL clubs taking on his wages. If any of the strikers leave it will almost certainly be Mateta. Nketiah would be a risk, but he is very quick and has potential. He's also grown up under the Arsenal system so will fit a passing based game. If Palace could get him for around the 5m mark it would seem a good deal providing his wages are sensible. It feels like a deal that could be one of two extremes, a complete disaster or an unbelievable bargain.

We had the opportunity to let him go on a free before, when his contract ran out, instead we inexplicably gave him a new deal on wages that nobody knows, and he has remained the poor player he is, a massive mistake

IMO its a risk worth taking. Contract is up soon, so he wouldn't cost much. Obviously has some ability given his U21 exploits. Wonder if Arsenal might want to hang on to him because of the Aubameyang issue

Why would Benteke go? I can't see a club that could afford his wages bidding for him. Far more likely that he'll remain a squad striker.
