After Suez in 1956 the English and French governments destroyed the evidence, which probably explains why you don't see much newsreel etc. The cabinet secretary burnt everything in the grate at 10 Downing Street, it must have kept the place warm for weeks. Beats burning a memo, Mrs May preferred the shredder.

The Iranians brought in some Persian carpet makers who put the documents back together without too much trouble.

Her Majesty probably has a high regard for Tony B after his wise counsel over Diana's death, really he saved the day for the monarchy. Otherwise they would have skulked at Balmoral. TB an excellent PM.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

I don't like to think that we may have been unnecessarily dragged to the forefront of such a horrible chapter in history. I don't have much time for the man myself, when push came to shove it just seemed to be all about him.
