It’s all coming back to me. Didn’t he score a couple, including a superb chipped effort, in a 5-2 home win over Peterborough? Did he sign from Watford? I seem to recall our fans always resented that he seemed to be preferred to the flashier Ronnie Allen.

Personally I would turn the Arthur into a single tier cantilever stand. I would make the Homesdale single tier and I would build a far simpler new main stand. Spending say £50-80 m. I completely agree about the new stand; it just looks like a vanity project and would further emphasise the complete lack of coherence at SP. Why not build something simpler that matches the Holmesdale stand?
