That second half, moving Gallagher more into the middle and Olise a little out wider worked a treat, letting him have a run at the fullback. Olise reminds me of Mahrez at Man City, knows exactly when the defender is flat footed to ghost past him.

There may be some who boo for reasons that I strongly disagree with, including some that could be called moronic, but there are also a good many sound and fair reasons to boo when players take the knee.

Personally, I have become far more concerned about media culture regarding this issue than terrace culture. National media consistently promotes narrative over objectivity and reason, to the point where it still, even now, denies the very existence of any valid arguments against something like taking the knee. For me, the risks therein outweigh the (genuine) risk that morons might be getting a free hit if booing takes place.

Perhaps if the BBC, the FA, Premier League, EFL, sky sports, BT sports etc acknowledged that they rushed prematurely to support BLM in the mistaken belief it was indistinguishable from opposing racism, that they wrongly presumed everybody would agree that taking the knee was appropriate and beneficial, that they actually have insufficient insight and no real remit to throw their weight around so forcefully in complex public social issues, and that, critically, rather than acknowledge any of these mistakes (or even the existence of valid and reasonable opposing views) they instead maintain the kind of forced ignorance that can only exist in an echo chamber, there would be less frustration around taking the knee, and a more useful mature public conversation could take place. It would certainly help me.

Unless you've established each individuals reasons for booing I'm not sure how you can label anyone as moronic, and am concerned that you are contributing to the ongoing oversimplification of this issue.

I was thinking at the time Benteke got 2 yellows (Red carded) against WH for similar challenges.

As we haven't played Millwall in yonks I think we were overawed by the hostility in the ground, we let them chase and hassle us in the first half and we were terrible.
Thank goodness they had few chances.

In the second half we were superior up to our second goal and then, resorted to Hodgson-type with panicky clearances coming straight back and 4-3-3 thrown out.
It is elementary to keep at least one forward up front when we are defending. Taking Hughes and Eze off wasn't the smartest tactics as I shudder when Luka and Reidewald come on causing uncertainty and sometimes havoc in our midst. Apart from one good shot Schulpp went missing. Passing out from the back can be fraught with danger, and so it proved. Andersen seemed provoked and his usual accurate passing was awry. Benteke added nothing, at least Mateta and Edouard look for space.

All in all, for 75 minutes we were mediocre and failed to show our superiority.

Sincerely hope we play much better on Friday night.
