100% agree. A real quality RB, strong Pacey and composed for a youngster. This position has been our weakness since AWB left and sadly Ward is getting found out far too often.

On the Nketiah front - I think he is exactly what we need and he wasn’t the worst Arsenal player today. I’d be delighted if we signed him.

I was surprised he played today as by cup tieing him his value has reduced to us by at least 1 million.
On the subject of right wing backs the Millwall wing back yesterday was quite promising. I know it is dangerous to judge on one game but I wonder if he is worth a punt and loaning back for rest of season

You are referring to Danny McNamara.I saw him play for Newport County on loan from Millwall, played in the same side as Ryan Inniss who was on loan to them from us.McNamara was impressive. He is Millwall through and through and used to be a season ticket holder at the club.

This is a difficult one for the club,Mateta or Nketiah.Mateta shines every now and then but offers little to the team and on the very little I’ve seen of Nketiah I’m not sure.
So save the money after Alcon can use Ayew or Wilf down the middle if necessary. Roy was far worse off. Buy a striker in the summer.
Agree about Spence, looks strong. Comes from London. I’d take a punt on him this window if there’s a sensible price .

do you think PV sees Edouard as the central striker or on the left, and does he see Eze on the left or in the centre, i think whoever he chooses as the central striker, new or existing needs a extended rub in that position

Middlesbrough signed Spence from Fulham when Tony Pulis was manager. He is on loan to Nottm Forest and there had been rumours that his parent club might recall him in this window.

Suspect we might wait until later in the window for this one.

Give Mateta a couple more games to see what he has. Potentially also driving Nketiah's price down if we show that we aren't desperate for him.

And while we dilly dally Brighton pick him up at a price reflecting one buyer and one eager seller.

I suspect the latter assumption may not apply. Does a club cup tie a player, risk injury in the transfer window and pick him to lead the line in a televised senior game if they wanted to offload him?

He is pants. That is why he only plays for Arsenal in cup games they really ought to win.

Dykes at QPR is even worse.

Hopefully Dougie has another card up his sleeve.

Decent holding midfielder and right back please.

I agree with you,he's a quality player and you can't judge him on one game.

He plays for the England U21 for a reason and is a goal scorer.

Quite. Also, he was as rusty as Gallagher was for us against Millwall.

Nketiah has not had a run of games so can't be judged on what you have seen; but like any player who has not had such a run, he is cheaper than one who has - but a risk.

As others have said, our talent hunters know more than I and have done OK in recent years.

He's a different type of player from Mateta/Benteke.

So if PV wants to move away from the big lump up top scenario then Nketiah could make sense.

Arsenal are currently all over the place it would seem. You could either make a case for that affecting his performance or see it as him not taking an opportunity to stake a first team place.

I think he's worth a punt if the price is right. And that's probably where any deal is going to fall down unless Arsenal are realistic in their valuation.

Everyone is a different type of player to Benteke

I think the problem is the players wage demands rather than Arsenals valuation.
