In post war Britain a bloke called John Cooper built a tiny racing car and put the engine behind the driver.

Enzo Ferrari said 'The ox does not push the cart!' But Cooper's car went on to become hugely successful and today nearly all types of racing cars are rear engined.

Another character around at the time Cooper built his car was Alexander Constantine Issigonis. He went on to build a road car and put the front engine sideways to save space.

Cooper and Issigonis later collaborated to build a car designed to win the Monte Carlo Rally. The Mini Cooper was born.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

Michael McIntyre. When he was younger and said he wanted to be a comedian everyone laughed. Well they are not laughing now.

If I may interject with Willo style trivia - my sister was in the same class at school with John Cooper's daughter and I frequently said that I wanted to meet her and subsequently marry her so that i could get a free Mini Cooper but unfortunately I never did

Bad luck Midlands! Did you end up marrying a young lady who was a relative of Mr Ferrari?

I ended up marrying several young ladies but unfortunately they were all as poor as church mice

Paramount didn't like the script for Psycho and refused to fund the project, so Hitch paid for it himself.

How much money has Hollywood studios made from Slasher films since then?

Only Fools And Horses was panned by the BBC directors, and was to be dropped after the first series. John Sullivan persuaded them to give it another chance as it may grow on the public.
