the failures of the State to deal with the Rape Gangs is connected to the power of bloc-voting.

When Mr Big in , say, Rotherham, tells all his faithful-followers to vote-out the local Labour MP....people like Corbyn will jump like scared rabbits.

Those who defended the actions of the Police and authorities.....defended the non exposure of these crimes based upon some disfigured idea that communities should be defended against the truth.

Those are the type of people at the core of the problem.

I suspect the attitudial problem runs right up to the top of power at that time.....indeed, there has been a lack of change and emphasis since....all based upon the fear mongering of 'racism' and frankly the abuse and disfigurement of words to frighten people.

Something that has characterised the last twenty years.

The great sadness is that it works, because human nature is to obey authority and go along to get along and the nail that stands out gets hammered down.

However, the truth is that the most vulnerable have been betrayed and those that shouted about it prosecuted while those who committed real crimes of negligence have been protected from the consequences.

Here we go again. More conspiracy theory, this time about the "elites", who are never seen or heard from, and don't possess an organisation, but somehow run the world for their own benefit.

Of course the rich and powerful exist and will look after themselves. That's nothing new. They aren't organised though and are as subject to regulation as everybody else. That they can employ the best lawyers to find the ways to avoid them is why we need international regulation to co-ordinate the responses.

That many of the people aren't very interested in politics is unfortunate but not a disaster. The idea that "leftist ideals" is what motivates them made me laugh. Of course, it isn't. They aren't motivated by sharing and caring. They are motivated by things. Things that are supplied by those capitalists. Capitalists who we need to, and can, control. So long as enough of us are interested in politics we can make sure our politicians do what we want them to do. The idea that these "elites" control us is just a conspiracy theory. Unless we choose to believe it. I don't.

Globalism is stripping us of nothing. It is allowing global trade at a scale never seen before. Everyone can benefit. The rich consume just like everyone else. Nothing disappears. It just goes around.

If you are going to use this trope to dismiss anything that does not fit your world view, then there is little point in discussing it. You just like an argument for the sake of it. There is nothing outlandish about what I said. It is all happening in plain sight.

Only the blind or those who deliberately shut their eyes cannot see that.

Davos is NOT a meeting of these mythical elites. That is another typical right-wing conspiracy theory. Someone is paying far too much attention to dodgy websites, forums and YouTube junkies.

Davos is a vital tool of the World Economic Forum, a place where leaders from business, government, international organisations, civil society and academia come together to address critical issues at the start of each year. It produces ideas. It doesn't take decisions. It works on eight thematic priorities: global cooperation; economic rebalancing; society and equity; climate and nature; innovation and governance; industrial transformation, risks and resilience; and global health. The 2021 meeting was online and had around 2000 participants. The large number of debates can all be followed by anyone who wishes to.

That Johnson changed his policies having listened to concerned people is not something to be criticised. It is to be welcomed.

The idea that any responsible scientist, which the overwhelming majority are, would deliberately offer advice they don't believe in because of commercial pressures, is a disgusting suggestion. I never encountered that during my long career, and I knew many scientists. There will always be the odd rogue, but they rarely gain any traction. Peer review sorts them out.

That image has appeared here before and has about as much credibility as the idea that Millwall will win the cup this year.

I don't chuckle at this level of cynicism. I find it appalling that it exists at all. Encouraging distrust in those seeking to find ways to make our world safer, happier and healthier by labelling them as "elites" is not something I would be proud of.

Some examples:

World Economic Forum
Bank Of International settlements
European Central Bank
Trilateral Commission
Club of Rome
Council On Foreign relations
Federal reserve
European Union
United Nations
World Health Organisation

These are organisations that are made up of the richest and most powerful people in the world today, none of us vote for but now literally set the entire direction of world policy.

Look at the one item alone - "sustainable development" (from the UN) as an example. Every local council in the UK has a sustainable development plan which nobody voted for or is probably even aware of. It includes things that will fundamentally change our lives from the bottom up. These organisations are so powerful that they simply side step democracy. Another example would be the European Compact on Migration. All just basically ignore national sovereignty generally under the auspices of some form of manufactured crisis or another. All this is simply driving more and more money into fewer and fewer hands.

Describing criticism of a conspiracy theory as a "trope" is simply an excuse to try to avoid actually dealing with the criticism. Just repeating it and saying it's "happening" is more of the same.

When someone suggests, without a shred of evidence, that "elites" are using "leftist" techniques to impose their will on the rest of us, I don't think a clearer example of a conspiracy theory is possible. It's nonsense. Globalism exists, but it's an evolution of humankind. It's not organised and controlled by anyone. Some will exploit it, so they need to be regulated. That's why we have meetings, to slowly progress towards the needed regulations.

They are organisations with purposes designed to serve us. Not those who work for them, or who somehow "control" them.

They aren't elitist, or serve elites. The UN is the primary example of that. Slow moving it might be, producing lots of disagreements, but it is an essential organisation where problems can be discussed and resolved.

Nor do they "sidestep" democracy. They can impose nothing. Every policy agreed has to be discussed and approved in each country to be implemented.

There is no alternative, other than total chaos.

If you could read my communications with the DHSC, the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman and my local MP you wouldn't have any doubt about me questioning authority.

No alternative....what a joke.

Somehow it seems the world was in total chaos before the 'World economic forum' sprung to life.....unelected bodies with power over our lives, which we never had a choice over.

The levels of delusion are like a human Everest.

If he could bend any further for the elites he'd rick his back.

Nothing to do with the above, that's for sure.

I know what this thread is about, but we have drifted off-topic.

I am talking about international trade.
