Tory voters and membership overwhelmingly pro Brexit. I think around 100 MPs were firm Brexit a lot of the MPs were not committed or were slightly pro Remain (line towers) and then about 30 were firm Remainers who either left the party or retired before the 2019 election. Boris' main achievement as party leader (not PM) was that he kicked out the rebels and united and aligned his MPs with the party membership and Tory voters which was overwhelmingly pro Brexit. Corbyn's problem and Starmers is that the leadership / MPs and party members were and are still split between the two camps. If Labour adopts a Rejoin position this will cause problems if they still accept Brexit it will cause problems.

Both parties are likely to be plagued by brexit for years. Labour you sum up well. The hard left are pretty much leave to a man (that inconvenient fact the right hate) so lurching back to back-in will hand red wall to the Tories for years. Tories you can bank on grassroots populist support so long as you remain leave EU bashing anti immigration etc. However you alienate a sizeable % of liberal leaning pragmatists who may not want to lie down with populists.

Brexit has been quite advantageous to the EU. And the EU were probably quite happy we finally left, in particular as the divorce deal overwhelmingly favoured the EU. Emigration of businesses and professionals to the EU have benefitted them and the excess bureaucracy is minor compared to that which the UK has inflicted on itself. Brexit will have major repercussions here for years but not in the EU. And NI has experienced a dramatic increase in trade with Ireland, the NI protocol is not unpopular and DUP candidates are getting the bird wherever they speak.
