Like I said, there's a lot more context to people's views on the BBC - to a lot on the left, I expect the will is there to reform it because they recognise what the BBC represents in terms of a more global Britain, they see the rest of the Tory-controlled tabloids and understand the value in a news agency which is *in theory* protected from government and corporate interest.

It makes me wonder what on earth you actually do, other than sit at a keyboard and churn out comments.

I have an excuse. I am still recovering from Covid, so need to take frequent breaks, but you........? Surely there is something more useful to your fellow man that you could do? Go dig an old person's veg patch ready for the veggies that will save them money in these difficult days. Or keep your fingers busy knitting some woollies for orphans in Ukraine.
