However, as we all know, its all speculation.

One other possibility would be either H&B stay and lend more or we get another investor with equally deep pockets to replace them. Make Conor and Chelsea an offer they would accept, even if that included a player exchange.

Bottom line is, we all love Conor and all want him to stay.

May our dreams come true. No one leaves, Conor signs.

Chelsea is in his and his family’s DNA, I can only seeing him returning to Chelsea at the end of the season. IF Chelsea were prepared to let him go a lot of clubs with bigger wallets than us would be queuing up to sign him.

Don’t get me wrong, I would dearly love Palace sign him, but sadly just can’t see it happening. Think we all should be grateful for his contribution this season and at the last home game give him one hell of a send off with banners and thanks that brings him too tears..

This is a good read BUT there's a ton of speculation (not fact) here. Some points.

Kante will likely leave this summer. Loftus Cheek and Gilmour may well be sold and if not will be no more than part-time players. So the competition at Chelsea is, while stiff, not quite as stiff as this makes out.

And the writer knows this how? In short, not only does he NOT know it but, while Gallagher will be expensive and the Amerians have been shrewd if not miserly in their support for Palace to date, their pockets ARE quite deep enough to fund the purchase. And given they are nothing if not shrewd investors, it's just possible this might be one of those times they do loosen the purse strings. Because they'll realise it's worth it.

Actually, Textor is no Harris or Blitzer. He's a millionaire. They're billionaires. He doesn't have £40m to invest in the way Harris and Blitzer do, but he's prepared to use leverage to do it.

If you believe that then you must believe signing Gallagher permanently is a done deal.
