I still think Gallagher would struggle for playing time at Chelsea next season. Starring for us is different than being a productive regular in one of the top sides in the world. The same could be said for Zaha.

I know professional footballers want to play with the best, but at the same time, there's something to be said for being a legend at a regular club, rather than sitting on the bench of a big six club. As long as the money is comparable.

Exactly this.

Love him as I do, I just feel that Connor will struggle at Chelsea. He isnt a ball player, and they need that.

Lets remember he has also gone missing in games where we have asked him to do more CM work.

Was talking to a spurs fan last night about Delle Ali, and his demise. His POV was that when Suprs were set up to get the best from Dele (with 2 holding CM's behind him running the midfield) he was the best in the business. As soon as they gave him more midfield and defensive responsibilities he's game fall apart.

I can see some similarities with Connor.

Amused to see the assists thing. In his one season in the Prem he got 6 assists - Wilf has only bettered that once in his career at PL level despite being at his prime when in the PL. There may be doubts over Eze's defensive capabilities but foolish to doubt his creativity.

A side note here is that Wilf and Ayew consistently top the table for all players in the PL who are dispossessed and neither has any sort of record of providing assists, That has been consistent this season too. Running up blind alleys and lack of a final ball is a running theme. Olise has matched their output in the last 2 seasons in less than half of one season.

Fair point around Eze’s assists. 6 in 40 is a very good return.

And the more we point out weaknesses we can perhaps knock the price down. I heard he's rubbish in goal.

Ha, but he does have a poor disciplinary record.

Exactly silvertop. He's an impetuous and reckless player. Often gives away free kicks in the wrong place at the wrong time. Gets booked too frequently and puts pressure on the rest of the team.

Certainly wouldn't recommend him to any other club on this basis alone.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

Yes, fair point, 3 goals and 2 assists, in 28 games this season, Luka, Jairo, Hughes, no goals and 1 assist in 38 games

The dream scenario, we win the fa cup, guaranteed European football and a starting spot in any game and a heroes welcome. That's appealing to CG.

Over at Chelsea, an opportunity to fight for a place - any place in the line up/bench.

Will Chelsea continue to be the top 4 team after the buy out?

I can see a loan extension happening.
