No way a 'PROPER' sunday roast, just a yuppies toy for those who dont know how to cook. Ninja thingys are over-priced tools for people who dont know how to cook OR cant be bothered . . . PFFT. Well, my wife and I have just finished a roast chicken meal with the gravy accompaniment. Delicious! But, is gravy a generational thing because my daughter and her husband never make it, preferring the meal 'dry'? Is it us or are they odd?

Mrs YT and I have rarely cooked a Sunday roast in almost 30 years of marriage, including raising two daughters. However, we did so today, cooking the turkey crown that we bought at the tail end of last year as a contingency in case our Christmas plans might be scuppered by the Covid malarkey. Very nice it was too, with roasted potatoes, roasted vegetables (carrots, parsnips, onions, beetroot), Yorkshire puddings and a lovely gravy. OK, so I accept that the Yorkshire's are somewhat declassé.
