Zaha in particular makes a meal of any tackle on him and seems affronted that he has been stopped, so refs tend to give the benefit of any doubt to the defender.

It's a partial contact sport by necessity really, or cannot be avoided. The aim is to get the ball not the player, but sometimes the player will be touched or brought down. In rugby however, it is part of the rules to bring the player down without any intention of getting possession of the ball or removing it from the player. That is truly a full contact sport.

When the ref says it is. The point being if the ref is giving the foul, it’s a foul. And if the only sanction is to stop play and award free kicks , it’s no sanction at all in the full course of any game.

Wilf is constantly fouled and because they know they are going to have to do it opposition teams plan their fouling routines to avoid a particular individual doing enough to get punished - just. It is cheating, quite simply and also cheating the fans of a better spectacle. It's just that some people are well trained in how to get away with cheating.

I genuinely thinks he makes more of any contact than the better players ie Mahrez, St Maximan, Saka, etc. They are more direct, Zaha likes to stop beat a player twice, giving them a chance to stop him.
