Yup sorry, I also forgot the cheap Arkwright bar (Open All Hours) and cheap restaurant, nice work if you can get it.

It will change when the Republic of HOL takes power.

No they won't

As above, he did nothing wrong as already stated by the Police, no matter how much the Daily Mail tries to stir up a false storm

Starmer was working, he was away from home and he ate whilst at work. At the time he could not have had a meal in a restaurant or cafe and so this was allowed in the rules

BoJo made the rules. But he didn't have a meal, he attended a party. In his home. With many people invited for that purpose. But he 'didn't understand the rules'.

They ( the police )will or they won't , IMHO if they do it will be after the 5th May elections. Whatever the result of any police action, why did Labour repeatedly lie about Rayner being at the function. Whatever the reason, no one is buying the " honest mistake " excuse. Beergate is morphing into currygate, will the composite be Fridaynightgate?

Beergate is going nowhere

It is a desperate attempt by the Daily Mail and its allies to rescue Johnson through deflection

It will fail as there was no wrong-doing

Yes there is a whiff of desperation about it. But will it work?

Anyone with over 12 functioning brain cells will see it for what it is. Unfortunately...

Thus week we will have the standard 3-way split. One third are true blue and will see this as left wing hypocrisy. They will be the same folk who will be roused by Boris' (or rather his people's) attempt today at Churchillian grandstanding - remotely - in the "midst" of a warzone. I mean, you would have to be supernaturally dim not to realise it is a political stunt timed only 2 days before a major election.

Then there are the third on the other side who are no brighter. They will believe anything bad about the Tories and condemn anything bad about labour as right wing political smear.

And then there are the other third. Pragmatists who consider, weigh and vote with their conscience; and those who float with every populist feather that blows. Like the woman who said she voted Leave because she believed the rubbish about the NHS on the side of the Brexit Battle Bus but then after the referendum wanted her vote back.

That alarmingly large sector waft aimlessly in the breeze. They sometimes vote. They sometimes don't. But you can bet that when they do vote, it is according to what they have seen on the telly within the last few days.

Thus, I can see the Beergate claptrap as well as today's speech as mitigating the pounding the Tories were likely to get at the polls this week. Labour could counter that, but they do not have the wherewithal or opportunity to do so.

As a support worker who works in a mental health serice. I and my colleagues would not have been allowed to behave in the same manner at work.

This was on GMB at 8.20. Labour broke the rules I and my colleagues abided by.

Labour absolutely did it but they won't admit it and the Press would prefer they hadn't done it and so it is doing its best to be buried as hastily as possible.
The truth is that Downing Street get togethers happened but so did other events all over the place including in Durham.
There are more important things to worry about at the moment and I am bored witless by them all going on about it - it is a pathetic situation to be in right now.
Why won't Starmer give us a policy instead of talking hogwash.
Boris will get a bloody nose tomorrow, maybe even a broken one but how could anyone vote for Starmer and his right hand idiot - Rayner - when it was she who started this leg crossing business herself.
These people are pygmies!
Rules were broken - draw a line under it and stop the petty squabbling and run the bloody Country!

Starmer now repeatedly refusing to answer simple questions on the matter, not a good look.

Why would anyone give their vote to any of the main parties including LibDem/Green or the various er.... "nationalists"?

Politics has simply become the process of passing laws in order to fleece you. The whole lot need to go.
