Perhaps they'll play him when they come to Selhurst for our last game. That'd be fun.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

If he scores the winner for us he’ll be sure to guarantee the move!

Would be the ultimate ‘long game’ strategy for beating Utd!

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Unfortunately No,

I think we sold a promising RB with a bright future.

We would now buy someone who has gone backwards in his key developmental years.

Sad to see

Is the correct answer.
I'd much rather see PV have a rummage around the academy, we have some true starlets in there.

Cynic or realist? It's a fine line!

Funnily enough I wouldn't take him on a free given how we are trying to play and the fact he's on mega bucks and would see a return as failure. Has he changed much from the player who made his debut for us? No. Mitchell has had steady growth and development.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

Dougie, Derry, Morrison, Wilf... to name but four, all came back.

I believe three of these had reasonably good careers at the other clubs they played for. Wilf just wasn't used by Man Utd, so was still 'fresh'.

AWB has gone into decline, and he may well not be able to be as potent as when he left. And as others have said he will expect similar high wages he got at Old Trafford.

And if that is his expectation, then I don't think we'll be desperate enough to pay them. Having said that, a 1 year loan might be ok if the terms are right. It would tide us over until next summer when we should have a clear idea as to whether Ferguson is ever going to be fit enough to play.

No to buy him - we have 3 right backs and just 1 left back. We need to look at getting a balanced squad. When you look at Guehi and compare him to AWB and consider we got one for 14 million and sold the other for 50 million then someone in our club is doing a good job.

We do have two decent youngsters in Adamarola and Hannam at LB, Ferguson if he ever gets fit can play either side and Schlupp is ok in that position too.

I'd probably take him back on a free if that were possible but actually paying for him, not a chance. He's no upgrade over Clyne right now and I think he's plateaued; he's not going to get much better than what you see currently. And our scouting dept has been doing an admirable job finding reasonably priced talent elsewhere so I'm sure they can get someone as good for less.

I'm with the consensus here also, we need midfield help desperately. That needs to be our focus.

Sounds like David Hopkin.

The Beeb's gossip column claims that Athletico Madrid are interested in AWB.

Now that makes some sense given their style of play. They would want a RB who is primarily a defender and AWB has shown he can, at least, fulfil that requirement in a team that plays on the counter-attack.
