Just seen a great comment about today....

'So the Labour Party gains Mayfair but loses Hull..,"

Says it all really.

So I shall repeat

The local elections currently still being counted were fought on a mixture of central government issues and local issues

The big question at the central government level is who can you trust

The Government claims the (pretty much only) reason you can trust it is its success in handling the pandemic

In truth it just wasn’t particularly successful, no matter which way you consider the data.

Croydon seems to take for ever to count the votes have the council elections be declared yet?

One more point

For the life of me, I still cannot work out why Croydon needs a Mayor? It does not even need a council at the moment given how central government has got its boot firmly across its neck due to its bankrupt state.

Utterly pointless.

The government's performance was not 'bad'. The data shows that.

No comment on the nicely timed police investigation?

Exactly. It was very average. So next time they crow about their successes you will of course call them out on it

Especially as we had been assessed as the best prepared country in the world prior to the pandemic

The data show that by the way.

The Police told both Johnson and Starmer they would not announce any further investigations until after the local elections. Johnson is due at least one more fine by the looks of it

So it was adequate.

What's funny is that Starmer called it wrong almost every time, and yet his party and its simple minded followers have the gall to criticize the Tories.

Sadly, there are always people dumb enough to fall for it.

Good try.

You were happy to highlight Johnson's 'criminality' which was announced just before the elections and yet 'new evidence; came to light on beergate the second the election was over.

Don't try and tell us that it was by accident. The Left permeate through all our institutions, including the police.
