When I was at the pre season friendly against Watford I thought they were terrible and one of the favourites for the drop. Well they certainly didn’t disappoint, they were pretty awful yesterday bar the keeper who made 3 really good saves.

We were largely disappointing after they went down to 10 as we didn’t exploit the gaps that opened up. Still, as many have said, a win is a win and another clean sheet is good for defensive confidence. I just hope Guehi going off was a precaution.

2 wins out of the next 3 matches and we hit our biggest points tally. Not a bad season at all. Speaking to Salako briefly after the match and he thinks PV/Dougie are looking for some pace out wide next season. He didn’t elaborate but maybe they are looking at Sarr/Dennis?

I think we should persevere with Édouard after yesterday. He has very clever feet and good close control. Some more coaching on how to be more clinical and we could have a star player on our hands.

Firstly - well done Vieira - totally changed our style of play, much more enjoyable to watch, FA Cup Semi Final and mathematically safe with 3 games still to go..!!

We’d have all taken that at the start of the season..!!

Today was never going to be easy - Watford were in last chance saloon - add in the Roy factor who I’m sure would have loved to see us off for his last hurrah - that’s the sort of game under Roy we would have lost - but we didn’t and that shows how far we have come this season.

We can now sit back comfortably from upon high in the league and watch the rest of them fight it out with our “flip flops” on...!!

On that it’s going to be tight - think as much as 41 points maybe the benchmark for safety - so Southampton need to be careful that they don’t “sleepwalk” into a relegation “dog fight” on the last day with just 2 games left they have Liverpool and Leicester left to play and their form is horrible..!!

Sent Watford down today - just how many times in recent years have we sent a Team down - at the lost knockings - here’s to us doing the same to Everton away..!!

Meantime we can all sit back, celebrate and enjoy sending Watford and Roy down - before anyone says it I fully appreciate and respect all Roy did for us - but on from those seasons of “ Roy Ball” I cant deny it feels sweet..!!

Just want to finish ahead of Brighton now - that’s the final aim and would finish a great season off perfectly..!!

Off to Cyprus on Wednesday for a week calm and relaxed with my “flip flops” on..!!!

COYP

Agree with this. Have a good trip!

If that is the case, No Contract for Ayew

I think you'll find that Everton and Leeds can still overtake us.

But Norwich, Watford and Burnley can't so we ARE mathematically safe (Burnley only have 3 games left and are 10 points behind us).

Yet Roy said he was satisfied with the performance!

Really wasn’t that bothered I guess like the rest of us .

Roy's organisation apparent I didn't think Watford were as bad as has been suggested.

And Palace only won with a dubious penalty award.
