Never really Understood non alcoholic 'alcoholic' drinks. part of the incentive/satisfaction of drinking a beer/Wine is the relaxing nature of alcohol...
not sure I would drink beer (lager especially) if Alcohol wasn't included - simply doesn't taste nice enough! I'd Rather have an Juice, or coke or Squash!

Craft beers have gone some way to begin to change my mind on this, but still not enough.
Plus, one of The reasons alcoholic beverages are expensive is because of the alcohol. I don't see the non-alcoholic versions being much cheaper - but then I don't drink it so perhaps I'm wrong.

I sampled a non-alcoholic Stella yesterday and to be honest was half decent as 0%'s go.....

Mapletree old chap, although someone else suggested Brewdog AF, I personally would go for Nanny State.

The best NA lager I've tried and available in the UK is (by a long way) Leffe, provided you like the taste of Leffe in the first place that is!

My favourite NA drinks are the 'pur malt' varieties. They are common on the continent (well, France and Belgium) but they don't export them to the UK for some reason; or at least they didn't the last time I researched it a few years ago (pre-Brexit).

Oh, I almost forgot... Erdinger is a nice drink and widely available in the UK. For some reason it's marketed as isotonic drink, but it's definitely to be found in the low/non-alcohol beer section of Waitrose!

I've been off alcohol for over a year. During hot weather. when I was gasping for a beer, I found Bavaria 0.0%, hit the spot. Really pleasant to drink if you want zero alcohol from a non-sugary drink.

On one instance I was only able to get "low alcohol" beer, 0.5%-ish. Gave me a massive headache afterwards and made me feel a bit ill. that was 2 cans drunk, and the other 2 thrown in the bin.

Loads of the ciders have alcohol free versions nowadays, they're pretty nice.. But I disgress, I've tried Becks Blue. The reviews aren't great but I i didn't mind it. I mostly drink alcoholic drinks when out, and have the one alcohol free one at home. Seems to strike the right balance!

i like booze so much i avoid it.

Alcohol-Free beers are nice, but trying to also avoid gluten & a ton of calories every evening. Sigh, its all so boring these days.

Herbal Tea is very refreshing (once you have got accustomed to it replacing booze). zero calories.

Many thanks. I’m not a fan of the BrewDog culture so I’ll swerve that one. I’ll try Leffe.

Possibly, but the title of the thread is "Low and zero alcohol..." ergo Nanny State ticks the box.

Like Badger I haven't had a drink in 14 years or so as one wouldn't be enough & two would be to many, The reason so I was told that non alcoholic beers are so expensive is that they are brewed & taxed like regular beer instead of being taxed after they take out the alcohol (if that makes sense?)
