Is it just me or is Crawley a waste of space, (in this case we are talking cricket)

Take away his one big innings and his average is just over 20.

He doesn't seem good enough. Lees seems like he can do it. From what I've seen Lees and Burns might be worth trying.

Can England win this? Looks like a bit of a stretch now.

Why not although Burns isn't the easiest to watch. We need a pair who can stay in at least long enough to see some of the shine off the ball.

A great test match. Very positive play from England. Bairstow played a 20/20 innings. Quite spectacular.

Quite remarkable test match.

I'll have to watch the highlights later.

Destruction after tea wow.

We were still actually thinking NZ win or draw then.

'The test match has become the one-day game'

That's flawed imo, this was a one-off.

Let us enjoy it as such.

4th highest 1st innings score by a team that goes on to lose a test match.
The fastest-ever 4th innings test century and the 2nd fastest England test century (by 1 delivery).
Only the 248th century in the 4th innings of a test match (248 is less than 6% of all test centuries).

I looked all this up; I'm not a cricket encyclopedia.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

Shows just how powerful it is to bat first on a good wicket statistically.
