Not sure about the 'Talent' we have right now.
Our Striking options are; Kane.
Midfield; Foden is our Stand out playmaking midfielder. followed closely by Bellingham.
Mount is another John Barnes, rarely performing for his country.
Saka's our only wideman
Sterling has never really convinced me, but give him his credit, he Was our Standout performer at the Euros.
Grealish is Great... when coming on at 60 minutes.
then what? Rice(who is improving all the time) and Phillips - who's nowhere near the form that got him in the team.

Central Defence options are soo poor that you have to persist with Walker at RB as 'speedy' cover, rather than play someone like TAA for a bit of attacking threat.
then at right back : Shaw, or a Left back shoehorned in there.

The 'golden generation' was a lot more of a wasted opportunity.
The promise that we showed 4 years ago hasn't materialised.

The Germany game epitomised this for me. we pretty much played the same team as the euros when we won. Germany were rubbish that day.
Last week, the change in them was plain to see, back to their old ways. Fresh faces and improved no end.

We only have one world class player, which will be seen next season. at the moment he has a number 10 Palace shirt on.

Benteke plays for Belgium though.

Useless in attack
Leaky at the back
England are coming home early!

I have an idea that would prevent England being humiliated on the pitch at the World Cup AND allow a suitable political statement to be made by the players (which surely they will if they care about the rights of the LGBT…community etc.)
When arriving at the tournament the whole squad should self-indentify as being gay. That should get them barred from entering the country and means that we don’t have to experience them being beaten in the games. It’s a win-win situation; political statement made and zero losses on the pitch! Simples!

hats off to palace, they were always gonna be louder, and hate to say it but they were impressive ALL bouncing and singing.

You're giving Southgate ideas now.

At the very least, if Southgate is sacked, there will be a queue of top clubs and countries vying for his managerial services.

I think Hungary might take a pass on that opportunity.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

All that we will prove by keeping Southgate on for the World Cup is what we know already. His brand of football will win nothing.

It's a free hit anyway. This World Cup will be a farce.
It is one of the most disgraceful occurrences in my lifetime. A winter World Cup in a non footballing country, which came about via bribery and corruption.

No one should be taking part.

I agree completely. We should boycott this one. I'd have no problem with it. Palace come first for me by miles anyway. Internationals just get in the way.

I cant say I'm surprised at these results in the nations league given they are being played right after the end of the league season.

Players must be shattered, especially as the season didnt end early lkke it would for the Euros or WC.

Southgate should have used these games to try out players from outside the PL, who would have jumped at the chance to pull on an Enhland shirt.

We are going down to the next group anyway, so would not have mattered if they had not come up to scratch.
