He played just like he does for us but was dragged way over to the left to cover for James (who was awful last night) and then Saka. I think others were far more culpable than Guehi.

For me last night Gallagher proved why he'd be better off at Palace and not good enough for England or Chelsea.

Agree with both comments about. MG and CG.

1st goal was a joke -Stones didn't win the header, Kane mis-kicked and Philips was ball watching.

The 3 late goals were not disimilar - broke on the right (where Guehi was) and switch quickly to left and all finished well.

Difficult to say he was at fault for any - Stones and Walker need to have a good look at themselves though.

Guehi is likely to be involved in the set up as he has come through all of the age groups and plays consistently well. He needs to form a partnership. From the looks of it, it won't be with Stones.

Guehi and Stones quite similar in that they both need to play alongside another CB who will dominate physically/in the air, both good on ball and other aspects but lacking here.

I appreciate last night was against a pretty big geezer but had the feeling neither really marshalled that back line with a physical presence. Just my take on things however.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Probably having any midfield in front of them may help. As would having natural full backs in the correct positions.

Definitely.

Also perhaps attacking/being on the front foot against a far inferior team with some semblance of a game plan might have been helpful too.

I would say CG is not ready for Chelsea or England, he can stay at palace and shine or he can go back to Chelsea, have a quiet season get loaned out the season after... he has to realize this.

I must admit I don't think he is going to break into the Chelsea team, this season or potentially ever.

He has a couple of brilliant traits, energy, high press, and a pretty decent finisher.

He isn't great on the ball, and he's going to be trying to break into a ball playing team, against some seriously good players. Love him as I do, I think he's a great player for a midfield team....not top 6

Guehi and Andersen are so key to the club now so i'm a bit concerned that both are playing games into mid June - i think Andersen played all 4 of Denmark's recent games.

I know Marc has been injured for a few weeks but he's had a long season and is still quite young.

Hopefully both will go off on holiday and do nothing for the next few weeks.

We fly to Australia in mid July, only 4 weeks away, ideally they should only report back for training a few days before this trip.

Begs the question who could play at CB in their absence, especially if Kouyate doesn't re-sign. Tomkins and an.other

This Mickey Mouse comp is just yet another example of killing the goose that laid the golden egg.

Just stop with the money grubbing and allow the players to rest before the next fantastically hard season that will include the World Cup. At this rate, the top players will have been playing form July 21 - May 23 without any substantial let up. That is just ridiculous. Mentally, it is impossible to be 'up for it' in crucial games for so long.

But then, as the absurd Qatar World Cup shows, the game is riddled with corruption and greed. The players simply a commodity.
