I have a large group of unjabbed friends and none of them are getting sick. Compare that to my work colleagues and family. All getting sick (lot's of non specific illnesses like extended colds) and anything from shingles to heart, neurological, problems, blood clots etc.

We now have so many canaries in the coal mine and elephants in the room but the media on the whole stays silent.

Not everything needs to be crafted into a wild all or nothing narrative or conspiracy. The perpetually illness free unjabbed vs everyone else on deaths door...

I'm all for studies conitnuing to take place, but when your stance is that the vaccine has saved no lives, nobody should have it and its dangerous it would appear ignore much of what we know and that has taken place.

Many of these people are at the very peak of fitness.

Must be climate change.

I haven't been ill since I caught covid last July either.

It's purely anecdotal but personally I suspect that natural immunity is proving itself more effective than vaccination against this virus if you recover from it.

From what I'm hearing....and that is no guarantee...I get the impression that the natural immunity levels appear lowered in the vaccinated.

Anyway that doesn't mean that I think those at real risk at the time shouldn't have had their jabs or that personal choice shouldn't be respected.....As it appeared to lower the death rate in those groups.

However, I think what was advocated for and...in many job situations mandated for with the young and healthy was criminal personally and went against the western tradition of freedom.

I also respect that this was a difficult decision for many and more a fifty fifty decision with a lot of pressure.

Slightly worrying as a couple of vulnerable people in the family have it. I'm not personally worried too much as I managed to catch it a couple of times.
Just looking like it's always going to be here - somewhere lurking, a bit like Noel Edmunds; only not as evil and dangerous, of course.

Sorry to hear that (the mention of Noel Edmunds I mean!), it's still swirling around as you say.

Although over time a foundation of vaccination and repeated infection no doubt builds resistance, as you say we're not all at the same point in health and life. We've been lucky with vulnerable family members battling covid off and that at least creates a bit of reassurance going forward. It puts them in the clear for a time too and makes you less worried about them getting out and about. Fingers crossed they all move past this and that better - and more Noel Edmonds free - days are ahead..

I know several people who had shingles recently - is there something about that? I thought it a bit weird. My partner was saying something I wasn't particularly listening to. Basically, she's antivax.

One aspect of note is that you do have to wonder what the impact on immunity, health, other viruses and the like is when people are locked away and exposed to next to nothing for a year plus. I can't imagine that it's a positive.

Not just health. There was an article the other day where a headteacher said that at infant level new arrivals are having to be taught how to say their own name and to scribble with a pen which they don't recognise.

"“CDC data indicates that 65% of 3Q excess deaths can be directly attributed to COVID,” Davison said. “Our own claims data is consistent with that as well. Based on the data and our analysis, we believe that a significant portion of the remaining excess deaths are driven by deferred medical care and individuals who recover from COVID but later die from the toll COVID has taken on their bodies.”

I wonder why the article feels the need to omit the CEOs statements along these lines

Death for any reason is far from ideal (covid, knock on effects of covid).. I just want to clarify that he in no way suggested that vaccines are to blame for those deaths (which you are likely infering), nor is there anything to suggest that is the case.

Tip of the iceberg I should think too. When you're a kid a year feels like an eternity. I expect the impact of being locked away for such a long time will have a significant impact on many.

If children have been at home with a parent/parents/childminder for a year or more and not been talked with or taught to use a pencil, that's down to sheer bad parenting and nothing to do with Covid!

That's true but it's a situation that's been exacerbated by lockdown.

People put a lot of faith in CDC interpretations of data.

People need to understand that the CDC accepts both private and government funding. It is not an independent body divorced from these entities.

In my view, any medical organisation that receives large funds from organisations that could have an interest in their output is subject to scrutiny.

In relation to covid, it's pretty hard to find organisations that don't have some conflict of interest.....as there are huge amounts of money flying around it.
