I get that they want to stop people with false passports but is this really the way.

I wonder what 'minimum wage' is in Afrikaans?

Funny, on LBC the caller from the industry said suprisingly, while BA and Easyjet were cancelling flights all over, Ryan Air were doing ok with keeping the flights going, nowhere near top of the cancel list, worth a mention.

No it’s not the way. I find this totally bizarre, a few years ago SA passports were being abused, mainly by Zimbabweans. However, a visa requirement was placed on SA citizens which certainly went a long way in stopping the fraud. The people quoted should have held UK visas/residence permits. A quick call to UKBF would establish if documentation held was genuine.
Cue my mate O’Leary blaming BF and Brexit, in no particular order

I've got airport, airline and train trouble now when I go over for my Grand Niece's Christening. What a holy show.

I don't want to shoot this down but it all seems like gross incompetence, rather than a grand plan.
I've always thought our 'leaders' not fit to lead us. Then I meet some people and I realise I'm just going to have to put up with it. I always wanted people to become conscious of their positions. I should congratulate you on that. Marx would say it was inevitable.

An update for any one interested.

Flew into Heathrow T2 from Greece on 27/05. It took one hour to get through customs due to queues. They have some automated machines (about 15 I think) but all were shut. The bags were waiting when we went to the baggage halls, so that is one positive.

Flow T2 to Greece on 07/06 and there were no delays and minimal queuing (20mins) to get through passport control. No complaints at all.

I traveled by train (GWR) whilst back in the UK and 2 of the 3 trips were fine. The third trip was a nightmare as they cancelled my train (and the one before) (they claimed lack of staff) so there were 3 sets of travelers on one train. Luckily we got on at one of the first stops so managed to get seats. They stopped allowing others on at later stations. There were then more delays and finally they decided to miss out some stops altogether. My advise, don't travel on Sundays and especially after a bank holiday.

This is what they want for you:

It's sounds all lovely especially with the jingly music but they will enforce this with biometrics, digital ID and digital currency. This is the bit they leave out.

I just flew from Paris CDG. The airport was in chaos. No system. French,UK, EU, USA, Africa all in the one line. My flight was held back for 30minutes to wait for passengers. About 20 people didn't make our flight.

We'll never die
