I assumed it either related to some kind of database back up, or a cached verison of the site being presented when things were really busy. I don't really know the ins and outs, but that was my best guess! It's never really an issue though as it soon returns to normal.

Not really this was reported in the media a few days back seems it was a road rage incident the driver decided to make a get away and then crashed the car and had it on his toes.
