A lot of women's sport and hockey springs to mind.

Presuming Scotland's no 1 sport is football - although it sometimes doesn't look like it. Was not expecting 3-0 to Ireland.

England the one struggling currently. Not a good look this close to the worst world cup ever.

Doesn't hold the Aussie cricket team back much.

Lack of ability to invest in clubs is the main reason, because Scotland barely gets any tv money, they cant invest much into the clubs. Gary Lineker got more in tv money than Scottish football did!

As a result the 15th biggest club in England have one of the best training facilities in Europe, while the 15th biggest in Scotland are semi professional.

We would need a deal where all clubs in the Uk have collective bargaining with tv companies rather than individual nations. Even if the payouts were done proportionately it would benifit the other nations orders of magnitude better than it does now...
