I must say. I was a little surprised we didn't loan him back to derby for the year. maybe they can't afford him!

I think if we loan him it will be to Championship or a Textor Team

Have we ever signed a 'Malcolm' before?

That name always reminds me of the Vicks Sinex Nasal Spray advert of old: "Of course you can, Malcolm!"

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

Perhaps Div 1 is not considered to be a good place to develop young players who were good enough to play in the championship last season.

Very good. I of course meant a player. The point being it's one of those 'old' names, along with the likes of Gary, Keith etc

Michael Olise Didn't take long to find his Premier League Boots, and he was only 19 in the Championship, Lets hope Ebiowei does the same, he certainly has the power for it, fingers crossed.

Couldn't think of any of those. As opposed to Bobbys - Woodruff, Tambling, Kellard, Bell & Bowry come to mind but unfortunately we didn't add Moore or Charlton.

I'd remembered Borrowdale but not Cahill. The old Michael Caine ain't what it was.

In days gone by if a player had offers from Palace v Man Utd to sign for either team the chance of the player signing for us instead of Utd would have been about 1 in a million. It does show how far Palace have come that we are now more attractive to promising young players that United. The future is going to be a bright one for Palace and good luck to Malcolm all providing the signing goes through without any snags.

I have a very vague recollection that when Matt Janson joined us from Carlisle in 1998(?) Man U were supposed to be interested in signing him. I have no idea if that was true at the time or if I'm remembering correctly (just checked Wikipedia and it does mention it).

I also thought he had died in a car crash but Wikipedia says he had a 'near fatal' motorcycle accident, so I'm glad to say he is still alive.

So maybe Matt was that '1 in a million' player.
