I'm travelling over from NZ and I'm bitterly disappointed with the squad. Feels like a waste of money now. I can only imagine the feeling for those that have travelled from the UK. What a let down.

Could also be other reasons, such as a pregnant wife, sick family member, etc. Being 24 hours away isn't always great. Squad at home playing QPR.

I'm disappointed, the club have not planned this very well.

the rest could have caught a direct flight to Oz and met the rest of the squad there OR they could have just cancelled the Singapore match and added another match in Oz.

I too was a bit disappointed when I first saw the squad that was coming over, but on reflection I think that it will still be a good tour. Our under 23 team still plays much better football than the A league over here and these are our future stars. Just getting the Crystal Palace name known will be a big boon. I do agree however that it will disrupt our pre season quite a bit. It would appear that most people here are more disappointed that Ronaldo is not coming, Manure fans are crying in their beer. I am travelling from Perth to Melbourne for the Manure game and am looking forward to meeting up with the Palace contingent. I have not been back to England since moving here (18 years),so am really looking forward to seeing Palace again, whomever they bring over.

I've seen palace play a couple of games this year, so the quality of the squad is a bit of a let down for me. ANyway, its all about the pre-match p!ss up for me. Also the open training session will be interesting, haven't seen one since Venables was in charge (my only one!)

I'd be well cheesed off if I had booked to travel to see this tour. A bit like getting tickets to see the Stones play in Hyde Park and finding Jagger and Richards were staying at home and being replaced by a couple of youngsters for the night.

Poor preparation for new season. Half the first team squad in London and the rest the other side of the world. Yes blood some youngsters but this could bite us on the bum at the start of the season.
