It is by no means impossible that the Duhram police were influenced to avoid nicking Starmer. Don't pretemd otherwise.

One thing that the whole Boris saga has shown us is how pathetic and clueless the Labour Party is. Their only weapon is mud slinging. Very suitable for people who are mostly pond life.

I fear the days of the opposition actually providing answers or alternative solutions/courses of action are long dead and now only serve to b!tch and whine to the teacher like the most hated kid in school.

I recognise the intention of your post to 'wind up' or vilify those posting opposing sentiments however I find it hard to argue with much of what you stated.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Funny how his brothers are using the name Farah as well. This was not mentioned in his autobiography! Not saying he wasn’t traffic as many were/are but something doesn’t sit right about this coming out now. Seems strange his teacher and social services did not report this to the HO ( or is it?)
CP how long as Mo lived here? I think he arrived during a Labour government didn’t he?

So where do you get your ideas then. The Mail. Which got it from Breitbart. Because an ex student wanted to make mischief

I told you nothing had been done wrong according to the rules. Believe me I knew them intimately. I wrote my employer’s policy then updated it every month for nearly two years. Give up with your petty innuendo, you need to get out more and use The Mail for the only thing it’s good for.

I did a 3 year secondment to the Police Complaints Authority ( as it was called then), I have seen first hand how police forces can be influenced, both politically and in particular by the funny handshake brigade

I am always empowered. That is because unlike many I research my topic.

Pray tell, who has the power to influence a Police force - whether that be Durham or Duhram - to block a justified action? I suppose there is always the Home Secretary. Did Priti want Keir to stay in post perhaps

The funny thing is that the only reason for this investigation was a tireless and grubby campaign by The Mail, The Sun and The Telegraph. It had already been decided there was no case to argue and then through the abuse of their power these bastions of establishment power forced a review. The outcome was always predictable.

Whereas I have only worked with two forces up to DCC level

Such a high profile investigation has to be thorough and clean.

And by the way much has happened in the 18 years since The Authority became the IPCC.

From my perspective these are quite unacceptable double standards.

Then it is a shame your perspective is myopic.

But go on, do tell.

Please also remember that Boris would almost certainly have had a second fine had the Sue Gray enquiry not got in the way.

As we know I regarded these rules as ridiculous and not sensible in the first place. However, if you are going to operate and argue for them you should follow them to the letter....not participate in 'get out clauses', which are just opportunities for elitist privilege.

Both Labour and Tory situations were after work gatherings. So as far as I'm concerned the same rules should apply.

All that matters to the spread of a virus is physical distance and air circulation (which relates to being in or out doors).....everything else is waffle.....and there has certainly been plenty of waffle looking to justify the difference in actions here.

Why would you argue with someone who has worked with the Police. Your supposed superior knowledge of just about every role in every organisation really wears thin on those who have to suffer your posts. Your comment also highlights how little you know, they are known as a Service and not a Force. The term Metropolitan Police Force was dropped in the early 90's.

Isn't that what Labour MP's spend most of their lives doing nowadays?

Heaven help us if they ever get back in power. The populace will be begging to get the Tories back, like they always do after a Labour government. That is why they are so few and far between.

Maple has done every job in every country.

I'm sure his imaginary CV says that he was Henry VIII and da Vinci.

I can only throw in my limited experience. I have heard it said there are undisclosed connections between suspects in the Stephen Lawrence murder and certain sections of the Met Police, which has hindered investigations.
Likewise the murder of Daniel Morgan, in which no-one has been convicted.
And policing policy is shaped politically. Examples of which are purges on knife crime, and seasonal Drink-driving campaigns. The police are delegated finances by politicians, so you would expect forces to utilise monies where instructed.
