Especially if we can get him whilst CFC are still transitioning from one set of owners to the new ones, taking advantage of that period of uncertainty in CFC.

I think this would be a great signing.

Chelsea's transfer policy is so poor and if we can exploit it again just like we have last season, we could have another gem on our hands for a very reasonable fee.

As long as the buyback is at least 50m I'd do that. Guy looks seriously talented.

He’s a good player with potential but I wouldn’t pay more than 17.5m tops. The problem is there’s a dearth of talent out there so the few good players on the market (potentially) suddenly get priced into the excellent proven category. A bit like property 3 months ago!
My advice is to our keep powder dry and not pay silly prices at the moment. Leave that to Everton and the ever panicking ‘ I need to prove myself’ Lampard to do that.

We enjoy a good relationship with Chelsea. This could happen.

Maybe Chelsea will push us to take him on loan. That relationship has worked extremely well for both teams in past.

Interesting comment as the management that we had the good relationship with have all gone. I suppose that Thomas Tuchel will know that we improved Conor Gallagher and Marc Guehi but everything else was before his time

True, but a football club is more than the manager.

Let's hope that's true anyway.

I hope it happens. From the players point of view, he already knows players at Palace, he could stay in London, continue his development with an excellent team of coaches and be guaranteed playing time.

Now where’s that dotted line……….
