In 2020 the consumption of electricity was 323 terrawatt hours Wind produced 75.6 of that. In the past two years there has been significant further growth Note that is electricity. Other fuels are available. Edited by Mapletree (19 Jul 2022 9.30am)

Generation reached 38.2 TWh, second only to the first quarter of 2020 when the UK experienced exceptionally high wind speeds. Renewables’ share of electricity generation was 45.5 per cent. Electricity is around 56% of all energy used in the UK. So over a quarter of our energy is from renewables.
