I'd say 35 - we have had over 20 attendances above 40k (might be 23) - most back in the Bert head Div 1 days, but there was Burnley, 43k at home to Liverpool in the cup in 77, and 40k at home to Spurs in div 2 in '77. With new stand our crowds would be the same as the weed ... 30k a week, but big games would easily get 35, or more, all those fair weather supporters in Surrey you see.

The potential was always there, can’t see that has changed. Haven’t checked the facts, but I’m pretty sure Palace cracked forty thousand twice in the old Div 4. That was Peterborough H Millwall. H. Which is still a record . Just checked and Millwall was a record but two thousand under 40 thousand . Peterborough close behind. Still remarkable. And attendances in higher div proved the point. Pity no owner has ever really made the most of that potential,. Or maybe more to the point would be a pity the club has never been helped to make the most of the potential.

It would be great to have a ground capacity of 40,000 but that would still bring in a lot less than the cash we get from Sky.
40,000 x 19 games x £30 might bring in £22,800,000 versus the £75,000,000 that we get from the top 15 placing.
Having said that I would prefer the 40k capacity to the current 24k as we might be able to afford more than the few people we currently have serving the burgers and beers.

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).

I would like our ground to be modelled on F.C. Copenhagen at the Whitehorse end,Large corporate area above seating.Old stand like plans at present, which then just leaves the Arthur to sort, maybe put a tier on top in time.

They cannot put a tier on the top of the Arthur as it would take all natural light from the Park road houses. The only possibility would be to 'dig out' the bottom of it and put a cantilevered tier in on top at no more than the present roof line.

Glass roof or an 02 style roof would allow light in. Just a thought.

More important for me than money would be having a capacity where we could release a certain amount of tickets to local schools. Can't even get tickets without being a member, how do we attract local kids if they can't even get tickets.

Into the stand yes, but would still be an obstruction to the homes in Park Road - this was one of the problems back in Noades' day when the 'all round alike' design was mooted.
