I suspect the PL has evolved away from Christian's game a little. That there is no right team for him because it's not a style of play that remains particularly viable in this PL. His best was attacking a quality cross into a crowded box. Now it is simply extremely difficult to produce such crosses and, then they are made, the defenders and keepers are better.

There are quite a few defences in Scotland which would suit his style but the 98% pay cut might not appeal.
