You will have a good time. Avoid the tourist places and find where locals eat. Italy always friendly and laid back in the main. Try and speak the language a bit. I always look up a list of phrases on the phone for a day or two then pretend to be fluent.

Too late just sat down by the two towers for lunch, very pricey 6 euros for a bottle of moretti , will have to go exploring and find some of that slut spaghetti for later
