Chelsea need the premium quality Wilf offers while we need the profile (and still good quality) that CHO offers.

Wilf deserves his chance, CHO needs out of the hothouse, and we need to monetize Wilf. Which is what this does, albeit only in an accounting sense for now.

Apparently Tuchel wants CHO out. He's still very young.

Good swap?

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

Definitely food for thought

According to this he's on £120,000 a week. More than RLC and Reece James combined. Must have a good agent.

Callum Hudson-Odoi has revealed he missed the last two months of last season because of a "weird" injury that left him unable to pass the ball 10 yards.

He said: “It was a weird one. It was a neurological thing where I had a tweaked nerve in my back and it stemmed all the way down through my body, so it then became difficult for me to retain muscle.

“There was no power really in my legs and everything was like ‘woah’. I was trying to pass the ball 10 yards but I had no power and I couldn’t even do it.

“I think it was also a post-coronavirus thing from December, which I couldn’t believe because it had been such a long time before.

“The issue started with my Achilles and then I was trying to use other parts of my body to make up for it, so for example when I was running I wasn’t running on my toes as much because my Achilles power wasn’t that strong.

“I was trying to find another way to run and then it started affecting my back but all of it is good now. My Achilles is strong again and my back is strong so everything is perfect. It’s one of those things but I’m glad to be back and to have all my power, strength and speed back is all that I can wish for.”

Hudson-Odoi and Chelsea take on Club America next weekend to kick off their pre-season campaign. They then start their Premier League season by facing Everton on August 6.

Surely Newcastle sniffing around one or both of these players. Presumably Everton have stopped buying, and West Ham? I don't see us as his first choice. Loan would be mad but seems unlikely - although we obviously have history with Chelsea in this regard. I have a sneaky feeling something will happen with Wilf. We'd almost be forced to cash in if a 30mil plus bid was made, sadly.

Zaha is our best player and top scorer, why would anyone even consider swapping for Hudson Odoi, who is a regular in the treatment room on big money. We have only moved Sakho out recently, who cost a fortune, as he was hardly ever fit.
I am sure the powers that be at Palace aren't that stupid.

I agree, but its all about money i am afraid, if HO has a good season he is worth 50m if Wilf has a good season he is worth zero

Yes , Unfortunately you are right ! its all about ballancing the books and i think the accountants are having nightmares about how much we are spending . Any idea if we are still within the FFP rules .

What are the FFP rules, it doesnt seem to be applied to other Premier teams. I read that the owners of Newcastle are borrowing £140m, despite being worth £256 billion, to get around FFP rules, its quite blatant.
In short, I wouldnt worry about the clubs finances, there are very rich owners in place, that know how to manage finances.
